If this is not the first time you have connected to the new Citrix server you will not need to follow all these steps. Just go to https://remote.lewischester.com/portal/TAMPortal and follow the login prompts.
1.
The
first thing you need to do is download and install the latest version of Java.
Go to www.java.com and click on the green
button that says “Free Java Download”

After
clicking on the button you should see a security prompt asking if you want to
install Java on your system. Click “Install”

The
application will download and the installer will run. Your will see the
installer prompt. Click “Accept” to
continue the installation.
4. You will then see a progress bar as Java installs.

Once
the installation is complete the installer will show you a prompt indicating
this. Just click “Finish” to close this window and complete installation.

The
browser will then open up so that you can verify the installation. Click on the
green button that says “Verify Installation”

If everything went as planned you should see a
congratulation message.

Now
go to https://remote.lewischester.com/portal/TAMPortal
. You will see a page that looks
something like this. Click on the “Continue to website link”.

You should see the login page for our VPN.
10. Input the same username and password that you use to login to your workstation at the office.

After
you’ve logged in you will see the VPN Portal page. Click on the TAM Portal link
on that page.

The next window that pops up will download the
Citrix client you need to access the Citrix server. You will see a text box pop up at the top of
this window. It will look like this:
When you see this textbox. Click on it and select “Install ActiveX Control…”
from the popup window. DO NOT CLICK ON ANY OF THE LINKS IN THIS WINDOW.

The
client will download. There will be no indication that this is happening so
please be patient. Once the client is
downloaded you will see a popup window asking if you want to install. Click the
“Install” button.

You
will then get a second prompt to install. Click “Yes”.

Click
“Yes” to the Licence Agreement.
16.
Click
“OK” to finish the installation.
17. At this point you need to close all you Internet Explorer windows.
18. Now open Internet Explorer again and go back to https://remote.lewischester.com/portal/tamportal. Click on “Continue to this website” , login with your username and password and click on “TAM Portal” again.

You will now be at the TAM Portal page. Login
with the same username and password you use to login to your workstation at the
office.

You
should then see a list of applications that are available to you. Click on the
TAM Desktop application.

You may see a window that looks like this popup:
If you do just click “Yes”.
22. You should now see a new window open up with your remote desktop in it. As always when you are finished working in the remote desktop go to the start menu and choose “Log off”. This will close the connection to the Citrix server. You can then safely close all the internet explorer windows.
